So, today Janet said this is probably the ONLY day that we don't have anything planned, and we can do whatever. I took this opportunity to tomar mucho fotos (take many pictures) of Janet's house! Here you go!
The gate to her house says "Rancho Silverado" and she has a guard watching her property 24/7.
This is the second gate you have to pass through to get into the house.
This is Maddie (left) and Annie (right)! This is the walkway you can go through to get to Janet's house once you go through the second gate.
This is the front of the house! There is a big garden in the front with lots of trees, so it's kind of hard to get the whole house in the picture...
I'm not sure if this is fruit or a flower, but it's pretty cool either way!
Side garden and outdoor kitchen area...and Tim in the background. Tim is Janet's brother-in-law. I can't remember if I mentioned him before, but I'll tell you more later on as I get to know him.
This is a wall painting that Janet preserved from the original house. It's what you see as soon as you walk through her front door and it's beautiful!
This is the kitchen - I'm going to cook for everyone next week!
This is the room I share with Maddie...since I'm old, I get the big bed ;-P.
I have more pictures of Janet's house, but it's raining now, and since she has satellite internet, uploading pictures doesn't work very well. At least you have a little taste of where I'm staying for few days!
Oh, exciting news! Tim knows the District Attorney for women and children over all of Honduras and he's going to set up a time when I can interview her! I know I'll be able to get some great information for my research paper!
Tonight we're going to see the Jesus statue that is at the top of a mountain overlooking Teguc. It was done by the same guy who did the one in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil! I'll tomar mucho fotos of that too!
Stay tuned!
